Entry: Finished Hufflepuff Scarf! Friday, September 14, 2007

Last night I finished the knitting on my Hufflepuff Scarf. I had to leave off the final repeat because my yellow yarn was running dangerously low. As it is, I just had enough to make a lighter fringe (I don't think this scarf would look right without fringe). I'm very pleased with it, though.

JP loved modeling it. He loves posing for the camera and he insists on being in every single pictures I take.

Finished Hufflepuff Scarf

Date Started: July 8th
Date Finished: September 14th
Pattern Used: POA-Style Scarf
Yarn Used: 3 skeins of Lion Brand Cotton-Ease (new) in Maize and 1 skein of Lion Brand Cotton-Ease (old) in Licorice.
Needles Used: US 5 16" circs.
Finished Size: 5" wide and 70" long
Modifications: I cast on 60 stitches because I didn't want a super-wide scarf AND because I had a limited amount of yarn & wanted maximum length. I had to do one less repeat of the pattern because I was nearly out of yarn.

I love it, though. And now I'm pondering what to knit next. I'm not interested in picking up any of my UFOs, so something new will definitely be cast on soon.
